Frequently asked questions

How are payable days calculated?

Present days plus paid leave plus holidays and weekly offs, with half days counted as 0.5. Absent days and leave without pay are excluded. The exact treatment of weekly offs varies by establishment, so the rule used is stated in the summary and can be switched.

What do the codes mean?

P present, A absent, H half day, PL paid leave, CL casual leave, SL sick leave, LWP leave without pay, WO weekly off, HO holiday, OD on duty or official travel. Click a cell repeatedly to cycle through them.

Can I handle a six-day week?

Yes. Choose which days are weekly offs, including alternate Saturdays, which is the common arrangement in Indian offices and factories.

Does it track leave balances?

It tracks leave taken by type against an opening balance you set per employee, and shows the closing balance. It is a register, not a leave-approval workflow.

Is this acceptable as a statutory muster roll?

Treat it as a working register. Statutory muster rolls under the Factories Act and state shops-and-establishments rules have prescribed formats and retention requirements. Export and print from here, then keep the signed copy as your record.
